These are a couple of photos taken through the kitchen window this morning of sparrows in the backyard. The Oregon Dark-eyed Junco is unusual for the Saint Louis area. This one has been visiting the yard since the 19th. The background in the photo of the Song Sparrow is, alas, what much of the backyard looks like after a lateral sewer line repair a couple of weeks ago.
